ESA\’s Proba-2 observed the solar eclipse on the evening of May 20, 2012. Proba-2 passed through the Moon\’s shadow four times.

On May 14, 2012, a Proton-M launch vehicle rolled out with telecommunications satellite Nimik-6 at the Launch Complex 81, Baikonur. Proton-M lifted off on May 17. The Breeze-M upper stage inserted the payload into desired orbit.

On May 16, 2012, an Ariane 5 launch vehicle lifted off from French Guiana with two telecommunications satellites, JCSAT-13 and Vinasat-2. The launch was a complete success.
