Aquarius Launch

On June 10, 2011, a Delta II launch vehicle lifted off with the Aquarius/SAC-D spacecraft from Vandenberg Air Force Base. The Aquarius mission is a collaboration between NASA and the Space Agency of Argentina, and it will provide a global view of salinity variability.

Soyuz TMA-02M Docks to ISS

The Soyuz TMA-02M spacecraft docks to the International Space Station. The Soyuz crew, Sergei Volkov, Mike Fossum, and Satoshi Furukawa, will spend about five months aboard the space station.

Soyuz TMA-02M Launch

On June 8, 2011, a Soyuz-FG launch vehicle lifted off with the manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-02M. Soyuz carries to the International Space Station a crew of three: cosmonaut Sergey Volkov and flight engineers Michael Fossum and Satoshi Furukawa.

Copenhagen Suborbitals Launch

Copenhagen Suborbitals is an open source and non-profit endeavour. The founders are Peter Madsen and Kristian von Bengtson. The launch of the HEAT-1X rocket with Tycho Brahe spacecraft went pretty much as planned. However, the parachute failed to deploy and Tycho Brahe plunged into the sea at dive speed.
