Progress M-05M Docking

Progress M-05M docked with the Pirs module of the International Space Station on May 1, 2010. The automated docking system used by Progress to dock with the station failed when the spacecraft was 1 km away from the station. Cosmonaut Oleg Kotov used a backup manual system to control the rendezvous and docking of the Progress spacecraft.

Progress M-05M Launch

Progress M-05M a.k.a. Progress 37P was launched on April 28, 2010, by a Soyuz-U launch vehicle, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The spacecraft carried fresh food and supplies for the crew of the International Space Station.

STS-131 EVA#3

Spacewalkers were Rick Mastracchio and Clayton Anderson. EVA #3 lasted for 6 hours and 24 minutes. The empty ammonia tank previously removed from the space station’s truss was moved into the space shuttle’s payload bay.

Spacewalkers were Rick Mastracchio and Clayton Anderson. EVA #2 lasted for 7 hours and 26 minutes. The astronauts removed an empty ammonia tank from the space station’s truss.

Spacewalkers were Rick Mastracchio and Clayton Anderson. EVA #1 lasted for 6 hours and 27 minutes. A new ammonia tank was removed from space shuttle’s payload bay and an experiment from Kibo’s Exposed Facility was retrieved as well.
